Antwerp panel marks
Research on Antwerp panel marks has lead to the elimination of the doubts regarding an attribution of an early 17th century landscape painting in the collection of a major European museum. The combination of the panel mark, the size of the panel and our knowledge of the production process this painter preferred, lead to an convincing attribution. Previous doubts on the authenticity of the signature have been invalidated. |
