Jan van Eyck Probably one of the most intriguing 15th century Flemish portraits was painted by Jan van Eyck. Thorough research of archival documents and an in-depth research of the history of Van Eyck's portraits has provided us with a new hypothesis regarding the identity of the sitter.
We are currently preparing a publication on this intriguing matter.
